The Volkswagen ID.5 (Intelligent Design) SUV Coupe has been teased ahead of its launch which is about to happen in mid 2021. The new car is closely related to the ID 4 SUV is shown in the teaser video with a special camo livery during the unveiling of new ID 4 GTX.

Volkswagen ID5 Powertrain
Volkswagen ID5 is an all new electric SUV. This is a family-sized coupe SUV that offers a more stylish alternative to cars such as the VW ID4 SUV. VW has also announced that a similarly sporty ID5 GTX is on the way, following the reveal of the new performance-oriented ID4 GTX.
Since the VW ID5 is similar to the ID4, it will almost certainly come with the same battery specs. That means the ID5 is set to get a 77kWh battery, which should be big enough to give it up to 480km of range. The SUV will be powered by twin electric motors with an all wheel drive produce a max power 299hp.
Volkswagen India Launch Plans 2021
Volkswagen India, biggest model for 2021 is expected to be its all-new Taigun midsize SUV. The SUV is expected to arrive before the year end and will be followed by an all-new midsize sedan to replace the current Vento, which will be underpinned by the same MQB-A0-IN platform. Volkswagen is also about to launch the standard Tiguan in India this year. On the electric vehicle front, VW is bringing the ID.4 SUV to India sometime next year with the carmaker having shown the SUV in concept form – the ID Crozz – at last year’s Auto Expo.
