Tata Motors launches the Tigor EV at starting price of Rs 9.44 lakh

Tata Motors now launches Tigor EV to intensify electric vehicle battle in India at an attractive starting price of Rs 9.44 lakh. Tata Motors claims that the new version of Tigor EV will offer low cost of ownership, better connectivity, and zero emissions.
The Tata Tigor EV is 3992mm long, 1677mm wide and 1537mm tall just like its predecessor
Tata Tigor. It has a 2450mm wheelbase. The car can run 213 km in a single chanrge and will cater to personal segment customers. The Tigor EV’s powertrain supports fast charging and can charge 80% in 2 hours. Using a regular charger, it takes 11.5 hours for a 0-100 per cent battery recharge.
The new Tigor EV will be available from Rs 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom) after deducting government subsidies. The Tigor EV will be available in three variants, XE+, XM+ and XT+.
Earlier, Tata Motors had introduced the Tigor EV for government and fleet consumers. Tata Motors EV segments claims to provide higher revenue earning potential for the commercial customers.
The Tigor EV will get two driving modes -- Drive and Sport. The car gets black and grey interior, Harman sound system, stylish front grille, alloy wheels, single-speed transmission system, shark-fin antenna and LED stop lamp. The car will be available in three different colours namely Pearlescent white, Egyptian blue and Roman silver.
Tigor EV electric sedan will have safety features like dual airbags (XE+ variant has Driver Airbag only) and an anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard. The Electric Sedan comes with a warranty period of 3 years or 1,25,000 km, whichever is earlier. The Tigor EV is powered by a 21.5 kWh battery pack.
